Job Story: online help for terrain modeling & animation program

One of the most important elements of a useful software program is its online help system. We can design and produce on-line help systems that are both visually appealing and cognitively effective.

These images are from the help file developed by Forcade Associates for AnimaTek's World Builder---a 3D terrain modeling program. The program has over 500 commands and controls all of which were documented, cross-referenced, indexed, and illustrated by the finished help file. The help file was produced in conjunction with a 700 page printed manual which was designed, written, and illustrated by Forcade Associates. This enabled us to utilize consistent illustrations and language for both the manual and the help file.
